Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe’s troubling economic situation has led many children to drop out of school, either to support their parents or because there is no money to cover fees. Orphans and children living in poverty or fragile contexts are particularly affected by this. With this project, the Salvation Army aims to improve the living conditions of 250 children and their parents or guardians. It will facilitate access to school education for children by distributing educational materials or contributing to school fees. The children’s personal and social development will also be supported through extracurricular activities and psychosocial support. Income-generating activities for parents and guardians as well as schools will improve their financial situation. The project will also reinforce children’s rights, strengthening the mental and social resilience of children and their families and allowing them to work towards a safer and more stable future.
